QP3D offer a great range of terrain products for tabletop gaming and I have a large number of them. Always good quality PLA prints (lightweight and durable) with plenty of detail, decent prices and great customer service too.
This ruined building is no exception, being a very useful addition to my Cthulhu Mythos game where it will be variously added to Dunwich, Innsmouth and other such insalubrious places.
My little Half Demon sisters in the images represent a 32mm and a 28mm figure respectively, to show scale.
The ruin comes in three parts, each with little holes into which 1.5mm brass rods can be inserted to help make a perfect and lastingly strong connection; you don't NEED to place rods in the holes, cyanoacrylate superglue works fine to bond the PLA, but if nothing else, putting some little bits of rod in the holes means you get the parts aligned perfectly without having to even think about it.
Obviously, in these images, I haven't yet primed let alone painted the model. The fact that half the building has been destroyed - Cthulhu, stop stamping on that village! - means it can be fully assembled prior to painting and you can still easily reach all areas with a paintbrush, even the interior beams of the roof.
As with all the models I've had from QP3D, this is a very robust print, the detail clear and sharp. No clean-up is required save removal of the inevitable occasional stray filament.
Primer applies perfectly to the PLA (I use Vallejo surface primer) and any decent acrylics of choice can be used for painting. (I use Vallejo Game and Reaper Master Series).
Always great service from QP3D in all respects, a seller who cares about their products and their customers, friendly communication, fast fulfilment and delivery of orders, quality models, good value prices. Always reliable. Recommended.
